The Jerusalem Cross, also known as the Crusader's Cross, is a Christian symbol that combines a large central cross with four smaller Greek crosses, one in each quadrant.
The IHS symbol, often found within or near the Jerusalem Cross, is a monogram for Jesus Christ, derived from the first three letters of Jesus' name in Greek (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ or IHSOUS)
Inscription reads: Dr W.W. McLean from friends in Jerusalem 1932-1944.
The good doctor was responsible to examine Jewish refugees who escaped Nazi persecution and managed to escape to Palestine.
