The Tochi Scouts were one of several scout units in the Frontier Corps, which was officered by the Pakistan Army. The Tochi Scouts were headquartered in Miranshah, which is now the administrative headquarters of the North Waziristan District in Pakistan.

The Tochi Scouts built rectangular forts out of sun-dried mud blocks with towers for a clear line of fire. The living quarters were on a platform that ran around the perimeter of the fort and formed the roof.
